This Privacy Policy describes how Château Chbat (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you visit or make a purchase from chateauchbat.com or use the Château Chbat app (the “Services”).

  • Payment Information (processed securely via third-party providers)
  • Account Information (login details, preferences such as your language, the bottles in My Cellar, your rank and points in The 1847 Circle, and your birthday if you choose to give it)
  • Order Information (purchase history, transactions and, for a gift, the recipient’s name, email, phone number and your message)
  • Technical Information (IP address, browser, device data)
  • Usage Information (interaction with our website)
  • Bottle Checks (when you check a bottle’s certificate: the code entered, the date and time, the country the check comes from, the type of browser, and a one-way scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address, never the address itself)
  • Messages (what you send us through the contact form: name, phone number, email, company and your question)

When you send a gift, please make sure the recipient is happy for you to share their details with us. We use them only to deliver the gift and to offer the bottles to the recipient’s own cellar.

All credit/debit card details and personally identifiable information will NOT be stored, sold, shared, rented, or leased to any third parties.

We do not pass any debit/credit card details to third parties. Payment transactions are processed through secure and authorized payment service providers.

  • Service providers (e.g. payment processors, shipping providers, IT services)
  • Platform providers (e.g. hosting or eCommerce platforms)
  • Google and Meta, for website statistics and advertising, only if you accept these cookies

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information using suitable hardware and software security practices. However, chateauchbat.com cannot guarantee the absolute security of any information transmitted online.

Our website is delivered through Cloudflare, which protects it against attacks and spam, including on our contact form.

Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel are loaded only after you click “I agree” on our cookie banner; if you choose “Only essentials”, they are not loaded. Our Cookie Policy lists the cookies we use.

12. The Château Chbat App

The Château Chbat app for iPhone and Android uses the same account and follows this Privacy Policy. To sign in, we send a one-time code to your email address, and the app keeps a sign-in key in your device’s secure storage. The camera is used only to scan the QR code on a bottle; the images are not stored or sent to us. The details you enter under My details (name, phone number, birthday) are saved to your account.
